George Negrea, MD
Dr. Negrea obtained his medical education in his native country of Romania as well as
in the Dominican Republic. He completed his internship and residency in Internal Medicine
at the Mount Vernon Hospital in New York, a New York Medical College program.
Subsequently, he did a year of Medical Oncology training at Downstate Medical Center in
Brooklyn, New York, followed by two and a half years of Hematology and Medical Oncology at
Temple University Hospital and Fox Chase Cancer Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
Dr Negrea is Board Certified and has been engaged in the practice of Oncology/Hematology
since 1992. Prior to moving to Savannah in 2001, he was a
Senior Oncology Attending Physician at the Phoebe Cancer Center in Albany, Georgia. He
is a member of ASCO (American society of Clinical Oncology) and ASH (American Society of
Hematology). Dr Negrea also serves on various Advisory Boards in the St. Joseph's Candler
Hospital system. His hospital privileges include St. Joseph's Candler and Memorial University
Medical Center; and are affiliated with the J.C. Lewis Cancer Pavilion which is a designated
NCI (National Cancer Center Institute) Community Cancer Center.
Dr. Negrea is an avid bicyclist and also enjoys downhill skiing.

Jennifer Yannucci, MD
Dr. Jennifer Yannucci is the only board-certified female Hematologist/Oncologist in the
Savannah area. She has been practicing in Savannah since July of 2006 at Low Country Cancer
Care Associates, P.C.
Before joining Low Country Cancer Care, she completed her fellowship in Oncology/Hematology
at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, an affiliate of Harvard Medical School in Boston
Massachusetts. Dr. Yannucci completed her Internal Medicine residency at Vanderbilt University
Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee, and is a graduate of the Indiana University Medical
School. She is a proud graduate of the University of Notre Dame where she graduated Magna cum
laude.
Dr. Yannucci is a member of ASCO (American society of Clinical Oncology) and ASH (American
Society of Hematology); and is a recipient of an ASCO merit award.
Dr. Yannucci has a special interest in breast cancer and also treats a variety of tumor
types such as lymphoma, leukemia, lung, and colon cancers and specializes in both bleeding
and clotting disorders.
Dr. Yannucci's hospital privileges include St. Joseph's Candler and Memorial University
Medical Center; and are affiliated with the J.C. Lewis Cancer Pavilion which is a designated
NCI (National Cancer Center Institute) Community Cancer Center. She also lectures at Memorial
University Medical Center to medical residents.

Susan Fahy - Physician Assistant
Susan graduated from San Diego State University with a degree in Molecular Biology/Chemistry. She
worked in DNA research for 4 year doing clinical research in gene construction and ancillary work
on a Malaria vaccine. She interacted with clinical researchers around the country helping produce
DNA for research and marketable assays.
She eventually advanced to the level of Production Manager of the DNA production laboratory at
Eurogentec while completing a Masters Degree in Forensic Science at National University, San
Diego.
More recently, Susan graduated from South University in Savannah, Georgia with a second Masters
in Physician Assistant Studies. She worked in Emergency Medicine in Beaufort, South Carolina
before joining Low Country Cancer Care.
Susan works in the main office in Savannah as well as the two satellite locations in Hinesville,
Georgia and Bluffton, South Carolina.
Susan is active in community projects and enjoys movies, reading and caring for her many
animals.

Cathy Lewis - Physician Assistant
Cathy received her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology at the University of
Georgia.
She recently graduated from South University here in Savannah with a Master's degree
in Physician Assistant Studies.
She is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants, Association of
Physician Assistants in Oncology, and the Georgia Association of Physician Assistants.
Cathy enjoys spending time outdoors with her family, swimming, and the beach.
